What To Expect
Appointments are scheduled at explicit times with the understanding that our groomer may arrive within a 15 minute window of that time. We value the importance of punctuality, and owners who require a more exact time are encouraged to schedule early morning appointments so that we can better suit your needs.
Because every cat, owner, and home are all different, each grooming experience is unique. For some, we may perform majority of the grooming services in a small, enclosed area such as a bathroom. For cats that will allow a more open grooming experience so that owners can comfortably watch, we may spend more time working in the kitchen. At the beginning of the appointment, we will assess your cat’s temperament and grooming needs to work with you to decide what groom is best and where the groom will take place. We carry a variety of equipment so that we can accommodate nearly any household. Contact us today if you have any concerns about setting up to groom.
We bring our equipment to you and strive to take all the hair with us. We like for our clients to be aware that we do our best to clean up any mess created during our visit, but if you inspect closely enough, you will likely find evidence of our visit. As many cat owners know, cat hair can be troublesome at times!
After your groom, you can expect to live with a cleaner, happier cat. These results are not permanent, though, so prebook your next appointment to stay ahead of the hair!
Our house call appointments mean our groomer brings her services to you and takes that excess hair with her! While the exact setup varies between individuals, typically, a small area with a sink or tub (such as a bathroom) is utilized for grooming. Don’t have a detachable sprayer or think your bathroom is too small? Not to worry! We have a variety of equipment available to accommodate nearly any household. Call or email us to discuss whatever concerns you may have.
House call services offer several advantages over traditional salon grooming, including:
Most cats are more comfortable in their own home than they are in even the nicest, quietest of grooming salons or veterinary clinics. A strange place with strange sights, smells, and sounds can be overwhelming for some kitties.
For some cats, being placed in a carrier and riding in the car can be a stressful experience. Remove that stress and save yourself the hassle of loading and driving your cat to the groomer with a house call appointment.
Cats with compromised immune systems are particularly vulnerable to contracting illnesses spread by other cats. While care is taken in grooming salons and veterinary clinics to minimize such exposures, the most effective way to reduce this exposure is to limit trips out of the house. House call grooming meets your cat’s grooming needs while doing just that! This is equally true for cats that may be FIV or leukemia positive that might otherwise be refused grooming services – there is no worry of exposing their illnesses to other cats.
Because your cat will not be coming in contact with felines that are not part of its normal routine, we do not require that your cat be up-to-date with any particular vaccination schedule. There is no pressure or requirement to maintain any vaccination schedule other than what you choose.
